New Beginnings - Christmas 2013 - tiny vignettes!

The Christmas Mantel is so much fun to do.   It can never be duplicated.

Wonderful shabby chic eye sore!

I found a few rolls of fabulous vintage wallpaper at a flea market for $5.00, knowing that I needed it for a great project, but I did not know what that was.

I have had this shelf for 5 years now and I love the shabbiness about it.   I used to store my DVDs in it and I recently found another place to store those where they are hidden.  

So now I had this fabulous shelf that was a boring eye sore to me.  

 



I would sit and stare it to figure out what I could do to make it more fabulous and it came to me: 2 rolls of vintage wallpaper, Ranger tea dye ink and baby pink and cream $1.00 acrylic paint from Michaels equals fabulous shabby chic shelf.  

 

LOVE IT!!

New beginnings for me and I am loving every minute of it ......................and admiring a few of favorite things..........................................

My very favorite of all.....my antique red velvet settee............in my bedroom!!   (where they should be)

I was lucky enough to find this antique medicine cabinet on Craiglist. who would have thunk it.   It even has turquoise chippy paint and a lovely chippy mirror with true etching!!!



..

and of course the boudoir.... which I am still working on................my bed is my perch,
 where I love to land at the end of every day!!!

I was inspired by some of the plate displays on pinterest .   I created this plate monstrosity today and I have already heard 3 times, "arent you afraid of an earthquake?"  If only I had a dollar for every time I heard it, $3.00 so far.................and continuing...

My fabulous father in law made this for me.............................vintage cigar boxes that hold secret treasures..........................

I will add on to this list, but these are my favorites today!!!

New additions for my new beginnings!!

I have adored baby pianos for a long time and I always wanted one, but never had a place to put it, until I found this baby for $10.00 at a flea market...............I did not care because first of all, its red and I knew I would find a special spot somewhere!

Now I have my own pantry and it has to be cute because its always open and of course its vintage too.................



 and my new loser hand, just its funky looking.........., but that is all for now
